The Benefits of Becoming a Beachbody Coach!

What has becoming a Beachbody coach done for me?  Let me count the ways!

1.  I went from making, if I was lucky, about $600 a month doing legal transcription to making roughly $1,000 a week as a coach.  Best part, that figure will just keep rising!

2.  We now have a gardener and the hubby doesn’t have to mow and edge the lawns anymore.

3.  I am looking for someone to clean my house and will soon have that on a weekly basis.

4.  I can afford to take more trips, and even take much of my family with me, now.  We used to really feel the pinch before and taking a vacation every summer was not always easy and didn’t always happen.

5.  I went from being a lonely almost empty-nester living in a new state, knowing hardly anyone, to having a large group of positive-minded fun people I am lucky enough to call my friends.

6.  I dropped from a size 12 to a size 4 using Beachbody programs and products.

7.  I became the CEO and president of my own home-based business.

8.  I cannot be laid off or fired.

9.   I have gone to places I used to only dream of — Caribbean cruise, Atlantis Bahamas, soon Disney World Resort and who knows where else in the future.

10. I have more confidence in myself than I’ve ever had in my entire life.

11.  I get to help other people find their way back to better health and to happier lives.

12.  I have totally reinvented myself.

13.  I never get sick anymore.

14.  I look forward to my days and truly enjoy what I do for a living.  It doesn’t even feel like work to me.

15.  Working out is part of my “job”!!!

I could go on and on, but these are the ones that come to mind immediately.  It took me less than five minutes to fire up this list!

I know some of you reading this blog post are well aware of what I do.  Some of you may not know.  But I can tell you that it doesn’t take any special skill or talent to do what I do.  You don’t have to be certified.  You don’t have to be a fitness guru.  You don’t have to even be at your goal weight yet.

What do you need?  Well, that’s simple.

You need to have a desire to be healthy and fit yourself, even if you aren’t there yet.

You need to like helping other people.

You need to be willing to understand that the more effort you put forth, the more you will get back.

You need to be able dream big and know that your dreams CAN come true!

Part-time, full-time, stay-at-home moms, doctors, dentists, actors, grocery clerks, nurses…well, pretty much anyone can do this.  Earn extra income while you get fit and help others do the same.  What’s not to like?

If you are looking for something that you want to look forward to, if you want to eventually fire your boss, if you need a little — or a lot — of extra income, if you are worried about your job being eliminated, if you just want a change, you really need to find out if coaching is for you.

Because guess what?  It probably is.  You just need to decide to find out!

Beware of Energy Zappers!

No, I’m not going to talk about lack of sleep or working too hard or doing too much, though all of those things are certainly culprits when it comes to our energy, or lack thereof.

But what I’m really going to talk about here is one of the sometimes overlooked energy zappers out there, and also one of the hardest ones to overcome.

Negative Nellies.  Debbie Downers.  People who, no matter what is going on or what they are doing, always seem to look at the glass half empty and to ferret out the downside in just about any situation.

Sometimes what makes them so hard to deal with is that it will hit you out of left field.  Often you are going along just fine and boom!  Along comes someone who just has to complain about the traffic that morning, the idiot who cut them off, the heat, the cold, whatever.

Doesn’t really matter because no matter what, they will look for and announce loudly the negative aspects of any situation.  And if they can’t find one, they’ll make one up.

You know the type.  Not happy unless they’re not happy!

But attitude and the ability to look for the upside in any given situation will serve you well.  It will make you more cheerful.  It will lessen the stress of the day.  It will make you more pleasant to be around.  It will energize you!

And here’s the real benefit:  It will attract all of those positive types of people to you.

Make no mistake, you are the collective average of the five people you spend the most time around.

If you surround yourself with negativity, guess what?  Soon that’s what you’ll be.

If you surround yourself with people who are always unhappy, always angry, always dragging themselves through the day as though they had an anvil tied to their ankle, you will begin to feel the same way.

Your mental outlook is precious.  Don’t let the life get sucked out of it by those who will drag you down with them.

I’m not talking about the occasional ups and downs that everyone experiences.  I’m talking about the people who are always in the down cycle.

Limit your exposure to these people.  Spend as little time with them as you can.  And if that’s who you see as your main source of companionship, seriously start looking for some more upbeat people to spend time with.

You’ll be happier, you’ll be more productive, you’ll enjoy life more, and that can have a wonderful impact on where your life takes you!

Living My Dreams!

Just a little less than a week ago from the time of this writing, I returned from a trip of a lifetime!  The Atlantis Hotel in the Bahamas!

I have to stop and pinch myself all the time.  Maybe that’s why I always have bruises!

Anyway, this latest trip was just another in what has become a growing list of “things I never saw myself doing.”

I remember the first time I ever even heard of the Atlantis.  It was a Mary Kate and Ashley movie that my daughters watched when they were young.  I sat there with them and we all said, “Oh wow, I want to go there someday.”   You know, in the very same way one would say, “I wonder what it would be like to land on the moon.”  Okay.  I know there are a small number of people who have done that, but you get the idea!

My life in general has become something almost unrecognizable from what it was just a little over two years ago.  Once upon a time — and not that long ago, either — I was a growing-plumper-by-the-day mom of two teenaged daughters.  I worked from home doing legal transcription.  I was shy.  I was not loaded with confidence.

I was hum-drum.

Oh what a difference a year can make.  Or two.

Today, I am a business owner, running my own home-based fitness business and leading a team, speaking to groups, being a leader — and going on amazing trips!

Who is this person and where is the real Terri Cruce?

You never know where your life might take you, but one thing I’ve learned.  If you don’t take a leap of faith every now and then and try something you never thought you would do, you may not ever find out.

I never saw myself as a fitness expert, and I still don’t think I am, really, but I help people reach their own fitness goals.  I never saw myself as being successful in a home-based marketing business, but I am.  I never thought I would even like doing this.

But I do.  In fact, I love it!

Oh, the friends I have made, the experiences I have had and am still having, the dreams that I never thought would come true, the life I never thought I would live.

But I did and I am.

I went around and around on life’s merry-go-round, passing the golden ring over and over again.

Then one day, I reached for it.

And what a ride it has been.  And I’ve only just begun.

How The Golden Girls Changed My Life

Embarrassing as that title may be, I’m afraid it is the truth.  I mean, it’s weird on so many levels.  But here’s the scoop.

I used to have this morning ritual.  I looked forward to it.  I was working from home as a legal transcriptionist, and before I started my day, I ate my breakfast every morning while watching old reruns of The Golden Girls on Lifetime TV.  Oh, geez.  Seeing that in print makes it even worse!

Every morning I would lay out my cereal and toast, or whatever it was I was eating, and I would watch The Golden Girls.  And if I really wanted to stretch it out, I stuck around for an episode or two of The Nanny.

Maybe I should rethink posting this in the public domain!

So how, you may be asking, did this morning routine, practiced faithfully every day, change my life?  Did Blanche or Dorothy say something that led to a life-changing epiphany?  Did the Nanny utter some words of wisdom that drastically changed the trajectory of my life?

No.  It was an infomercial.  That’s right.  An informercial.

A Turbo Jam informercial, to be exact.

This infomercial would play many of the mornings while I was enjoying my morning repast, and little by little, it sucked me in.

At that point in my life, we had just moved across country from my native Southern California to Omaha, Nebraska.  I didn’t really know anybody.  My kids were off at school.  My husband was off at work.  And I was home with my computer and my morning TV shows.

But each time I saw that Turbo Jam infomercial, it pulled me in a bit more.  Then a bit more.  Because at that time, I was also at the heaviest I had ever been.  Now, admittedly, it could have been worse, and no doubt it would have been, if not for The Golden Girls.

I knew I needed to start working out and I really needed to find something that I wouldn’t quit, like I had other things.  I needed something that looked fun.

And that’s just what Turbo Jam did.  It looked fun.  I figured it was something I might actually stick with.

So after about 7 to 10 times seeing this informercial, I finally decided to order the program.

And that, my friends, was the beginning of everything.

I loved Turbo Jam.  I became hooked on working out.  I actually, dare I say it, looked forward to my workouts.

Then, because Turbo Jam was a Beachbody program, I started cruising their website.  I grabbed workouts up as quickly as they came out, especially if they were Chalene Johnson’s workouts, as Turbo Jam was.  Chalean Extreme, Turbo Fire.

I switched it up and started doing Shaun T’s workouts.  Hip Hop Abs, Rockin Body, and eventually Insanity!  Tony Horton and P90X!  It just kept going.

In short, I was hooked.

During the course of this fitness journey, I decided to become a coach.  I had no idea where it would lead or if I would even be good at it.

O.M.G.!!!!!

My life, just two years later, is almost unrecognizable from what it was back when I was watching Golden Girls.    I don’t even know if they are still running those reruns anymore.  I don’t turn the TV on much these days.

So, here’s what happened, in a nutshell.

Golden Girls led to Turbo Jam, which lead to getting healthier and expanding my workout library, which led to meeting my coach, Hillary Kelly, the catalyst to my change, and becoming a coach myself, which led to me kicking my legal transcription work and its meager pay and boring days to the curb.  All that led to a full-time income now that is more than anything I have ever made in my life, and if we had to, we could live on what I make alone right now.  And I’m just getting started!

Not to mention that I have become someone that is a complete 180 from who I was before.  The shy, lacking self confidence person has transformed into someone who leads webinars, leads a team of my own and pays it all forward.

So thanks Blanche, Dorothy, Sophia and Rose, you changed my life.  I owe you one!

Leave Your Excuses At The Door!

Okay.  Let’s get real here.  Don’t you know an excuse when you hear one?  Are you ever fooled by one, even as you nod your head and smile as you’re hearing it?

We all do it.  It’s almost ingrained in us.

But it doesn’t have to be.  We can decide, right now, to leave our excuses at the door.

So what are the most common ones we hear?

“I don’t have the money.”  “I don’t have the time.”  “I have never been able to do that.”  “I wouldn’t be any good at that.”  And on and on.  There is no end to how creative we can be in this department.

And probably the most overused excuse on the planet.  “I’ve just been so busy,” or “I am really busy.”

Really, what every one of these represents, and any others you can think of, is, “I just don’t really want it badly enough.”

Now, admittedly, life is full of all of these reasons we feel we cannot do something.  But they are really just excuses

All of us are busy.  Some of us are super-duper busy.  We are all nervous about doing something we haven’t done before, or that we have told ourselves for years we can’t do.

And we often really and truly believe it when we say it.

And of course, money is an obstacle for many, many things for most of us, at least some of the time.

But for every single one of these excuses — and that’s what they are — I can point to someone who has gotten around them.

For one single mom who says she doesn’t have any time, money, energy, whatever, there is another single mom who had the same things going on in her life, but yet still found a way to finish school.  Or build a huge business.  Whatever it may be.

The difference is how big the why is for each of these single moms.

This does not mean that we should do, buy, become, go to, whatever it is, every time something comes along.

But what it should mean, if we’re honest with ourselves, is that we should really just admit that it’s not important enough to us.

Notice I haven’t said what “it” is.  That’s because it doesn’t matter.  “It” can be anything at all that we are presented with and don’t want to do.

Since I have been running my current home-based fitness business, I run across these excuses every single day in one form or another.  From all directions.

Not enough money to pay for something that would help, either to grow a business or to get fit.  Not enough time to work on either their business or their fitness.  I mean, there is no end to the things I hear.

And I used to do it myself.  Until I started training myself to be aware of it when I start to do it.  Am I perfect?  No.  I’m sure I’ll still do it and I hope to God when I do, someone calls me out on it!

The kicker is, you don’t have to apologize if you aren’t ready, don’t want to spend the money on something or feel too stressed, or whatever it may be.  That’s really okay.

Just be aware that none of those things would matter one iota if the “it” in question was desired enough.

And that’s what it really comes down to.  How badly do you want it?  How important is it to you?

Maybe you think it’s important, but if you’re making excuses for why you aren’t doing it, then it’s not.  End of story.

Think of it this way.  If your house was on fire and all that was in it was your material objects, would you run into that house to get any of them?  Maybe you really love them.  You really would rather not lose them.  But they are not important enough to make you risk your life to go back and get them.

Now imagine your child is in the burning house.  Nothing on God’s green earth would keep you from running back in and getting that child.

It’s all in how important it is.

So if time is the excuse you’re making, you have two options.  You can either make the time — somehow — or you can just say “The heck with it.  I don’t want it that bad.”

Because believe me, if you want it enough, you will find the time.  More precisely, you will MAKE the time.  You’ll get up earlier.  You’ll skip something else that is not really important.  You’ll rearrange the way you do your normal routines.

I have business and training calls in the evenings, sometimes right around our dinner hour.  It would be super easy to blow them off, but instead I rearrange things so that I can manage to fit them in.  It is important enough to me to inconvenience myself a bit.

My fitness is important enough to me to make myself get up an hour earlier just so I am sure to fit it in for the day.  It would be very easy to pull the blankets up and sleep for another hour.  But I don’t because I might not have time to workout and I absolutely MUST workout!

When I first started out in my business, I hesitated to spend the money I needed to spend to get things going.  But I knew if I didn’t I would fail.  And failure was not an option for me.  So we made it work.  And now I’m making more money than I ever imagined I would and I’m still growing!

Somehow you make it work because you know it’s important.

If it’s money that’s the issue, you have a few options.  You can decide to not spend the money and go on as you are.  Or, you can find the money somehow, somewhere.  Cash something in.  Cancel cable TV for a while.  Look in your budget and see where you can make some cuts.  Whatever it takes.  But again, the importance MUST outweigh the lack of immediate funds.

If your why, your reason for wanting something, were next to a mountain, it would need to tower over the size of that mountain in order for you to do what it takes.

If your why is a tiny little anthill sitting next to Mount Everest, well, then you probably won’t even get up off the ground.

So yes, it’s okay to set your priorities.  It’s okay to say one thing is more important than another.

But let’s just call it what it really is and admit that it just is not quite important enough for us to do what it takes.  No one is fooled anyway.  We all know an excuse when we hear it.

We simply do not want it badly enough.

Because when you do want it badly enough, there is nothing that will stop you.

You will leave your excuses at the door!!

Is It Ever Okay To Let The World Know Your Day May Be Less Than Perfect?

Be positive!  Have an upbeat attitude and project happiness and cheerfulness!

We are told that this is a good thing to do, not only for others, but for ourselves as well.  Most of us have heard that when you put a smile on your face, even when you’re not feeling like smiling, it has a tendency to lighten your mood.  And it does.  I’ve tried it.

But let’s face it, we are all human, and no matter how hard we try to always maintain a positive attitude and be upbeat, there are times when we really are not feeling it.  Times when we would rather have a pity party and sit around and eat bon-bons.

Now, I am one of the biggest proponents of the importance of projecting positivity, but there are times when I wonder if the message we are sending out there doesn’t sometimes have the opposite effect on someone else, especially if that someone else is wondering why they are the only one who isn’t skipping down the street and stopping to smell the roses along the way.

I don’t always think it’s a bad thing for people, especially those who may be looking up to you and trying to emulate what you’re doing, to occasionally see that, like everyone else, you do have your days that are not so great.  Days when you doubt yourself, just a little bit.  Days when you wonder if everyone else around you knows some secret that, if only you could become privy to it, you would be putting on your skipping shoes as well.

I think it’s important to allow people to sometimes see that you aren’t always just a smiling face.  That sometimes things don’t go as you had hoped or planned.

But here’s what they also need to know.

We all have those days, no matter who we are and no matter how great things usually seem to be for us.  The difference is we don’t let them stop us in our tracks and knock us off of our chosen path.  We recognize that they come with the territory.  They are a necessary part of the growing and learning process and that unless we make them so, they will not define us or derail us.

I work in network marketing, and I love what I do.  I am my own boss.  I make my day what I want it to be.  I don’t have to answer to anyone.  And the high points of the business are better than any other job I’ve ever had.

But the downside to it?  What might that be?

Ironically, it is often the very same things that make it so great.  I am my own boss.  I make my day what I want it to be.  I don’t have to answer to anyone.

How can this be, you might ask?

Well, in a nutshell, you are responsible for your forward movement.  You are responsible for your own success.  You get plenty of training and guidance along the way, but whether you stay the course or veer off of it is entirely up to you.

And that can often take you way outside of your comfort zone.

And sometimes you look around you and everyone else appears to never hit any bumps in the road.  They appear to always be in the best mood, enjoying life to the fullest.

And for the most part, they are.  But there are indeed bumps along the road and there are indeed times when you doubt yourself or find yourself in a slump.

It’s important to realize that that’s okay.  That’s how you learn and that’s how you grow.

And that’s what really makes what I do for a living the very best way to live each day that can ever be, even when it doesn’t always go as planned.

So when you see your friends in the business showing every sign of never having a care in the world, know that they do have some lows as well.  It’s just that they know the highs will be back if they just course correct and get back on track.

It’s okay to reach out to a good friend when you need an ear.  It’s okay to step back sometimes and take a breather.

Just don’t stay there too long, because you might get too comfortable and never want to get back in the game.  And that would really be a shame.

Because the game is so worth it!

Behind every success story, there is a story of triumph over adversity and it’s those challenges and struggles along the way that make the success that much sweeter!

Beachbody Coaches! An Odd Bunch Indeed!

Admittedly, we Beachbody coaches are an odd bunch!

We are always upbeat and positive!  We tend to be hooked on being and living a healthy lifestyle!  We are always talking about our latest kick-butt, sweat-inducing workout!

And we LOVE what we do!!

Yes, it is a hard lot in life, but someone’s gotta do it, right?

But seriously, I know there are those among you, maybe even YOU! — who look at us askance and wonder what is up with this bunch of health nuts!!

Well, I’ll tell you what is up with us.

We spend our time working on our own health and fitness.  But even more important, we want to help other people do the same thing.

Maybe we are a bit obsessed, but if I have to be obsessed with something, it may as well be something like this!

Let me ask you a few questions:

Do you get up every day looking forward to your day?  Or do you wish your weeks would pass quicker, counting down the days till the weekend and your two days of free time?

Do you work in a recession-proof industry, for a company that just keeps growing and growing and getting better and better?

Are you proud of your day’s work each day?  Do you feel like you are a part of something that is truly making a difference?

Is your income pretty much stuck right where it is, with the hope of a small percentage raise each year, if things go well?  Or worse, is your job one that is in jeopardy every single day and you worry all the time that it will go away?

See, I really do get up and look forward to my days.  Every day is fun for me so I really don’t wish my week away.

I am very proud of what I do each day and I know that my efforts just might make someone else healthier, more fit, able to enjoy their lives, and maybe even find a new business that will change their lives financially as well.

My income is in direct proportion to how much I commit to my business, which lucky for me, I enjoy doing!  I CANNOT be fired!  I CANNOT be laid off!

I, and only I, have total control over my income, my business, my financial security.

And I am making a difference every single day whenever I help someone else!!

So yes, we Beachbody coaches are an odd bunch!  We are the ones with smiles on our faces and helpful and hopeful words for our friends and those we meet in our daily travels!

So if I am a bit odd and that makes you look askance at me, I’’m okay with that.  I’ll just smile and wish you the best.

And I’ll be here if you ever decide you want what I have!

Network Marketing is All About Passion!

If you know me, you know that I am in the network marketing business.   I have been now for almost two years as of this writing.  There are so many reasons why I believe that network marketing is the only way to go in today’s financial environment, but that is a topic for another day.

So what is the topic today?

It’s all about passion!

I get asked daily by people who are considering entering into this business with me, or who have already done so, “How can I talk to people without sounding like I’m trying to sell them something?”

My best answer?  Why did you decide to join this business?

When you sign on with a network marketing company, as I have — mine is Team Beachbody — you probably did it because you were passionate about the company, the products, the mission of the organization.

Oh, sure, you want to make some money, and for some people, that is a real driving force behind getting started in network marketing.

But the real driver for most people that I meet is because you love the company and you love the products and you want to be a part of something that you love.  And you want to share what you love with other people.  Even help other people find what you found with the company and its products.

In my case, I lost weight, I found my self-confidence for maybe the first real time in my life, and I wanted to share that with other people and help them do the same thing.  And if I make some money along the way, hey, is that a crime?  Isn’t everyone trying to make a living?  Most of us, unless we were born into wealth, have to work to make a living.  We have to put a roof over ours and our family’s heads.  We need to put food on the table.  We need the basic necessities of living and most of us want some money left over to do things we enjoy doing.  Eating out, traveling, having a nice home, maybe a nice car.

In short, we need a job.

So why, then, are we so squeamish about making a living in a network marketing business?

I would venture to guess that every single person reading this post has seen a movie that they loved so much that they told everyone they knew to go see it.  Sometimes you even went along with them just so you could see if they loved it as much as you did.  The same goes for a good restaurant, a good book, a product that you use and love, a store you love to shop at, and on and on.

But enter into network marketing in a business that you love and feel that same passion for, and suddenly you’re afraid to say “Boo” to people,

I hear the same things all the time.  I have even said them myself, especially in the beginning.

“What if someone thinks I’m just trying to sell them something?” What if they think I am only in it for my own gain?”

I am here to tell you, if that is your sole focus, people will sniff you out like a dead rat.

But if you have something that you know works, that you know has helped you and countless others benefit vastly from what you are offering, and you are sharing that passion with others, who cares if they end up buying something from you? Or joining your team? Oh, the horror!!!

If you are driven for a passion to help others and a real desire to share what you love with other people in the hope that they will find the same life-changing opportunity that you did, and someone else reaches out and finds that with you, isn’t that the best feeling in the world?

And if you end up making a little money in the process, then what is wrong with that?

You have to work.  If you love what you do, then more power to you.  Many people don’t love what they do and they trudge through each day waiting for it to be over, or for the weekend, so that they can actually enjoy something.  Have some fun.

You are lucky enough to have fun and work at the same time.  You are not wishing the hours of your life away.  You are embracing them with passion.

And you’re helping other people do the same thing!

And doesn’t that make you one of the luckiest people on earth?

Don’t be afraid to show that to others!  Stop worrying and just do it!!!

Home Workouts Versus the Gym? Which Way Do You Roll?

I had a gym membership once.  My company, lucky for me, paid for it.  It was at one of the premier gyms in the area at the time.  All the people I knew who were into health and fitness went to this gym.  It was a great deal in every way.

Except for the one way that counted:  I didn’t use it!

Well, I went one time.  That counts, right?

Sadly, I was a statistic that is all too familiar in this country.  Maybe everywhere. Probably everywhere.   But it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Fortunately for me, I wasn’t footing the bill for the gym membership, but if I had been, I have a feeling I still would have only gone once.  Okay, maybe twice.

So why do people quit going to the gym, even when they’ve often paid dearly for the privilege?

I know my answer, and I think it will sound familiar to many people.  I was not comfortable in the gym setting, around people who, in my mind’s eye, were super fit and     gorgeous.  And this was back when I was young and thin.  But I was sure that everyone else was fitter and thinner than I was.

Also, I just plain didn’t want to go to the gym.  I mean, go there.  It was inconvenient.

What is a person determined to be fit to do?

Home workouts were the answer for me.   I can get out of bed in the morning, put on my workout clothes, head to my basement and put a workout DVD into my Blu-Ray player, and I’m off and running.

Or doing yoga.  Or plyometrics.  You get the idea.

The point is, I get a great workout, at home, without the discomfort or inconvenience of getting a gym bag together, heading to the car and driving to a gym.

I am a big believer in the simplicity and convenience of a workout at home, using top notch fitness programs.

Working out in my home has allowed me to go from a size 12 to a size 4 and feel better than I ever have in my life, at an age when many of my peers are starting to feel the aches and pains of age and experience that dreaded middle-age spread.

So why do people stop going to gyms?

The number one answer that I’ve found in all my research is discomfort or embarrassment, especially for those who feel that they will be sharing the gym with svelte and fit people like those they see in fitness commercials.

But beyond that, some of the reasons that I hear most often are the ones I’ve already mentioned.  The need to get in the car and drive to the gym, especially when the weather is bad.

Add to that a crowded gym, having to wait to use equipment, wondering what germs have been left behind, and it’s easy to see why so many people start out with such great intentions, only to find themselves paying for a gym membership, at no small cost, and never or hardly ever using it.

My favorite workout programs are the ones from Beachbody.  I have used many of them, and I’m sure you’ve heard of a few of them:  P90X, Turbo Jam, Turbo Fire, Insanity, Rev Abs.  And that’s just some of them.  There is a program suitable for anyone at any fitness level and for all interests.

Like to dance?  Turbo Jam, Turbo Fire or Hip Hop Abs would be perfect for you?

Like to really work up a sweat?  Insanity will fit the bill, as will Turbo Fire, for that matter.

Weight lifting your thing? P90X, Chalean Extreme are perfect for that.

They even have programs designed for senior citizens and children.

And what’s more, the programs work.  They are among the very best on the market.

And once you pay for a fitness program, you’ve got the program.  No monthly gym fee to pay for something you have a good chance of not using.

Now, I know that some people prefer the gym experience.  They feel they get more motivation at the gym.  If that’s your thing, then go for it!  When it comes to health and fitness, I believe that going with what works best for you is what you should do.

But for so many of us, the benefits of working out at home, in the comfort and privacy of our own home, using fitness programs that work and get results, is a more effective and less expensive way to go.

So Just What Are These Beachbody Challenge Packages?

If you have been in contact with me or anyone else that is associated with Team Beachbody, you probably have heard about the new challenge packages that have just been released. I’m guessing that you may be curious about what they are and what the value is behind them.

Well, here’s what is so dang exciting about them!!

Each one of these challenge packages includes everything you need to get fit, get in shape, get healthy, and basically get into the best shape of your life! You get a complete package that contains a workout program — which you get to pick the one you want to do — a nutritional package and the one-on-one help and support form a personal coach to help you every step of the way.

Essentially, you get the equivalent of a full-service spa or gym membership for a fraction of what you would pay for something like that. It is the complete package of fitness, nutrition and accountability, which will ultimately lead to you reaching your health and fitness goals!

Why are these so great?

Well, if you have researched the cost of yearly gym or spa memberships, you know that they cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars a year. More than that, the vast majority of people who join gyms and spas end up paying a high price for a membership that they end up never using. Also, they require you to go out to them in order to get fit, which is not always convenient and many people just plain stop doing it.

Add to that the cost of a personal trainer, if you go that route, the cost of high-priced diet plans, and before you know it, you’ve spent a boat load of money, which you may or may not get everything out of.

With the challenge packages, you get fitness, nutrition and coaching for $160 to $205, depending on the package you pick, to get started.

Now, don’t get me wrong. If you love going to the gym and you have a great personal trainer and that is working for you, then go for it! I’m all about people doing what works for them.

But I hear every day from people for whom that most assuredly does not work, and then they are out huge sums of money and end up getting very little in return. And back to their bad nutrition and fitness habits and back to gaining weight and back to feeling like a failure.

But purchase a challenge package from Team Beachbody, pick from such programs as P90X, Turbo Fire, Turbo Jam, Insanity, and others, get started on Shakeology on home direct and get the one-on-one help from a fitness coach, for free, at a fraction of the cost of a gym or spa membership, and you are on your way!

Plus, it becomes a lifestyle change. You get to connect with other people who are doing what you’re doing, experiencing what you are experiencing, compare notes, motivate one another, and basically learn how to change your life health and fitness wise in a way that will become a total lifestyle change. All in the comfort of your own home.

Now that cost of the challenge package is a teeny tiny little drop in the bucket when you consider what you are getting in return.

I am setting up challenges, two or three a month, every month. You can choose the package that you want to, or you can join a small group that I am putting together. You can even pick a program and get some of your close friends and family to do the same, make a challenge group of your own, and I will help you run that challenge group. You can do a 30-, 60-, or 90-day challenge.

But whatever way you decide to do it, you will get spa-quality fitness and nutrition and motivation and accountability that will serve you for the rest of your life.

And think about this: What message are you passing along to your children? They see you getting healthy and fit and making healthy life choices, and they will do the same thing! You will literally be positively changing not only your own life, but the lives of those you love!

You cannot put a price on that!!!

So that’s the 411 on the Beachbody Challenge Packages! These programs work! They are among the best, if not THE best, programs on the market today. How can you lose?
